Scotsmen entrepreneurs, Stephen George Balmer and Alexander Lawrie sowed the seeds of Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. in Kolkata, India on the 1st of February 1867.
Inauguration of Balmer Lawrie (UAE) LLC’s Al Quoz plant by HH Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai on May 27, 1978.
Started manufacturing of Metal Cans with semi-automatic line. Consequently, commenced manufacture of can components in-house and Plastic Line.
Commenced Printing Lines to manufacture Printed Tinplate for in-house usage and for supplying other customers.
Added fully integrated CNC machinery to develop intricate parts for the moulds, machine efficiency and for innovative features to our products.
Launched the production of 210L Plastic Drums and plastic Conipails with IML (In-mould Label) to meet the demands of the Paint and Lubricant sectors.
Inaugurated state-of-the-art high-speed and fully automatic Vertical Steel Drum Line in our DIP factory. None in this region, also globally, would have this facility.
