Balmer Lawrie (UAE) -- By Industry [Edible Oils & Ghee]

For edible oils and ghee, the following types of packages are available from Balmer Lawrie (UAE).

Depending on the nature of the contents to be filled, optionally the containers could be internally lacquer lined with either a single or a double coat of lacquer.

Metal Packaging

For Edible Oils:

	New Tight Head Steel Drums of 210 litre capacity
	Tinplate cans of 250 ml to 25 litre capacity. They are of following types.

		Cylindrical (Round) cans of diameters from 65 mm to 228 mm, with both ends seamed and with a spout hole which, after filling, can be fitted with a Plastic Pull-up Spout Depending on the pack size and weight of contents, either a galvanized wire or plastics strap handle could be fitted to the body of the can.
		Rectangular (Oblong) cross-section cans in three cross-sections. In these cans typically both ends are seamed, and the top is fitted with a Galvanised Wire or Plastics handle and has a spout hole, which, after filling can be fitted with a Plastic Pull-up Spout
		Cylindrical Drums of upto 25 litre capacity, with a

		a	pail handle made of Galvanised Wire fitted to the body of the drum or
		a	Galvanised Wire or Plastics Handle fitted to the top, And, either
		a	a metal neck through which filling is done and a metal innerseal and a screw cap fitted after filling, or
		a	a spout hole, which, after filling, can be closed with a Plastics Pull-up Spout.

Square Cans of 233 x 233 mm cross-section with both ends seamed, and the top is fitted with a Galvanised Wire or Plastics handle and has a spout hole, which, after filling can be fitted with a Plastic Pull-up Spout

For Ghee:

Tinplate cans of 250 ml to 25 litre capacity. They are of following types.

	a	Cylindrical (Round) cans of diameters from 105 mm to 175 mm, with top end seamed with a combination Ring, Aluminium Foil and Lid, and bottom end open for seaming after filling. Depending on the pack size and weight of contents, either a plastics or galvanized wire handle to the top, or a plastics strap handle to the body could be fitted.
	a	Conical pail of 230/240 mm diameter, with a lid and a locking ring and fitted with a Galvanised Wire Handle on the body.
	a	Square Cans of 233 x 233 mm cross-section with both ends seamed, and the top is fitted with two Galvanised Wire or Plastics handles and a large centre opening to which a lid is fitted after filling.

Plastics Packaging

For Edible Oils:

Blow Moulded HDPE packs of 250 ml to 10 litre capacity. These could either from moulds owned by Balmer Lawrie (UAE) of generic design packs or from customer owned moulds of customer’s own design. Plastics Closures are injection moulded from HDPE and may be fitted with customer supplied Induction-seal Wads.
